Breast Cancer: New Horizons, Current Controversies

July 11, 2019 @ 8:00 am - July 13, 2019 @ 12:45 pm EDT

Breast Cancer: New Horizons, Current Controversies encompasses the full range of breast cancer care from the pathogenesis of disease, to innovations in identification and treatment, to the management of breast cancer survivors. Breast cancer research has led to many developments in cell biology and genetics that offer new opportunities for diagnosing, treating, and defeating breast cancer. These advances simultaneously lead to knowledge, comprehension and implementation gaps for our target audience, which includes Medical Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, Breast Surgeons, General Surgeons, Internists, Physician’s Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Oncology Nurses and other clinicians interested in the care of women with breast cancer.

The primary goal of the conference is to assist health care professionals who care for breast cancer patients in reducing the disparities in breast cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment and long-term monitoring by helping them integrate evidence-based information into their practices. This engaging three-day course offers a convergence of clinical experts in medicine, surgery, radiology, and radiation oncology who will reinforce a multidisciplinary approach to translating scientific knowledge into practical applications in medicine. Interactive learning formats such as group case discussions, Q&A and panel presentations will assist clinicians in solving challenging clinical cases, addressing controversial topics, and developing practical treatment strategies.
