
Komen® Oregon & SW Washington’s MBC Dinner Series

The Metastatic Breast Cancer Dinner Series provides a forum for people living with metastatic breast cancer to discuss the latest in research, treatment, and symptom management with local health experts, in a small group setting.
If you are unable to attend Dinner Series events in person, we will live-stream the presentation on our Facebook page (@KomenOregon). Individuals watching via the Facebook live video will be able to ask questions in the comments section, and they will be answered at the end of the speaker’s presentation.
Schedule:
6:15 PM – Check-in & Networking
6:45 PM – Dinner Served
7:00-8:30 PM – Presentation, followed by Q&A
About the Speaker:
Kyle Ambert is Senior Data scientist at Intel’s Artificial Intelligence Products Group, where he uses machine learning and deep learning methods to solve real-world analytical problems in the life sciences. He has a B.A. in Biological Psychology from Wheaton College, and a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from Oregon Health & Science University, where his research focused on scalable machine learning-based methods for unstructured data curation and the application of artificial intelligence in the Neurosciences. At Intel, his team creates deep learning solution prototypes and researches optimization strategies for deep learning networks for text analytics, natural language processing, and image recognition.
